Our farmhouse lies between the Alsation capital Strassbourg and the ancient framework town Colmar. Both of them worth a daily trip. Colmar you can reach by 30 minutes driving, Strassbourg within 45 minutes. The historic town centre of Sélestat is not such touristicly presented, but offers as well streets, places and shops in a charming way for strolling around. The famous Alsation wine route, which you reach within 15 minutes driving, presents one pituresque wine village by the other on a total length of over 170 km. Wine tastings are available all over and you will love to purchase the one or other bottle for home.  You also find a lot of other attractions, which are suitable for all ages near by. Especially we recommend Haut Koenigsbourg, which is one of the five most visited touristic sights of France, a castle at one of the peaks of the Vosges, build by the emperor Willhelm of Germany. Around Charbes you will find true country style. Forest and pastureland is characterizing the landscape. On your hiking you will experience pure nature apart off daily hectic.  The Alsace is also famous for their flea markets. You will find almost every Sunday one village offering an opportunity to stroll around and to bargain true treasures for you. In the pre-Christmas season as well Christmas markets are traditional for the area. Seasonal presents, traditional handmade crafts and food will be presented within a truly Christmas ambiance. As it is low season with us, you can request to stay for a longer weekend only.
